Letter to Our Clients

Dear Fitness Friends & Families of TJF and Tumble Tikes,

We are writing this letter to inform you of some changes to our businesses. We are so grateful and blessed to have clients as you committed to making fitness a consistent part of your regular lives, whether adult training for yourself or structured classes for your son or daughter, your dedication to working with us is greatly appreciated.

As you may or may not know, Kim opened Tumble Tikes on March 1, 2012, and had been thriving on Marginal Way until the pandemic began in 2020.  Our training business began as Athletes Training Solutions in 2009 and rebranded to Triple Jump Fitness when Tim came to Marginal Way in January 2014.  The transition was successful, and we have been delighted with the cross-promotional opportunities it created.

It’s hard to believe our 10-year lease expires on January 30th, 2022.  After a very tough 18 months navigating uncharted waters, we collectively made the hard decision to let go of our current location, which we had to make in July of 2021, six months before the end of the lease. Much hinged on not knowing if or how Tumble Tikes would be able to rebuild.

Tim has plans to move Triple Jump Fitness clients to the Stevens Square complex in Portland when construction is complete (the former Catherine McAuley High School). We will be training at Worlds Gym next door in the interim, sub-leasing the functional private gym space.

As for Tumble Tikes, we have been delighted to have all classes fully capacity since September.  One year ago, we did not know whether Tumble Tikes would ever rebound, so the interest has been very encouraging.   The challenging part is letting the gymnastics business completely go with such a demand. As we know, the future is uncertain as we do not have a relocation plan yet.

The rebuilding process has been very time-consuming, both physically and emotionally. As a result, Kim took a full-time position as the Director of Membership, Communications, and Marketing at the Woodlands Club in Falmouth.  We hope these changes will be well worth it in the long run. We can’t thank you ALL enough for your continued support through it all.

We will keep you informed as things move forward, including a suitable space that re-surfaces for Tumble Tikes.  Here’s to having an EPIC 2022!

Yours in health,

Kim and Tim DeMado
